Mailboxes on your domain

A mailbox is a full email account with its own inbox, password and storage, such as you@yourdomain.com. Indie includes 3 mailboxes with 10 GB each; Studio includes 10 with 50 GB each. You can add more at €2.40/month per mailbox.

Aliases and groups

Not every address needs its own inbox. An alias like hello@, billing@ or projects@ delivers mail to the mailbox you choose. The Free plan includes 10 forwarding aliases, Indie 100 and Studio 500. Groups deliver one address to several mailboxes.

Catch-all

Turn on catch-all and receive mail sent to any address on your domain, including ones you never created. Useful when you hand out a new address for every shop or newsletter. Included on Indie and Studio.

Send as any of your addresses

Reply from hello@, write from support@ and keep your personal address for everything else. Every address connected to your mailbox is available in the From field, so recipients see your domain, never a provider address.

Webmail with threads and search

Read, reply, search and organise from a clean webmail at episto.email. Conversations are threaded and you can search across your mail. No CRM, no marketing dashboard. Just email.

Works with your mail apps

Every mailbox works with standard IMAP and SMTP, so you can use Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Outlook or the mail app on your phone. Thunderbird and Outlook can usually find the server settings on their own, and the optional SRV records in the setup guides help other apps do the same.

SPF, DKIM and DMARC, handled

Email authentication decides whether your messages are trusted. Episto generates a DKIM key for your domain, gives you the SPF and DMARC records and keeps checking them against public DNS, so you notice when something changes. No provider can guarantee the inbox, but correct authentication is the part you can control.

Automatic DNS setup

Add your domain and Episto detects where its DNS is hosted. With Cloudflare, IONOS and Vercel you can approve the changes at your provider instead of copying records by hand, where your domain supports it. Encrypted daily backups, in Europe

Mail and metadata are stored on European infrastructure. Mail is backed up daily to encrypted storage, and we test restoring those backups. We don’t show ads, build profiles from your mail or use your messages to train AI.

Built for small teams

Studio adds shared inboxes for the team and higher outbound sending limits. Give each person a mailbox, share support@ between them and add mailboxes one at a time as the team grows.

We are working on a whitelabel option: webmail with your logo and colours, on your domain.

What Episto is not

Episto is not an email sending API. For transactional or application email, services like Resend or Postmark are built for that. It is also not an office suite: there are no documents or video calls, which is why it costs less than one.
